Two-story gingerbread house template
A two-story house is the same six pieces with taller walls: here 8 inches on a 6 by 7 footprint, 11 inches to the peak, room for two rows of windows. It takes about 4 lb of dough and prints on 8 sheets.
Cut list
Side walls are two dough thicknesses shorter than the depth, so they fit between the front and back.

Your six pieces
The two-story house, worked
- Front and back wall, cut 2: 6″ wide and 11″ to the peak: the 8″ wall plus 3″ of gable.
- Side wall, cut 2: 6 1/2″ by 8″.
- Roof panel, cut 2: 8″ by 4 3/4″, the same as a one-story house of this footprint.
Dough: about 4 lb (1,810 g) at 1/4″. A 7 × 8 house with 9″ walls takes about 5 1/4 lb, 12 1/2″ to the peak.
Questions
How tall should a two-story house's walls be?
About twice a one-story's. A 4″ wall reads as one story at this size, so 8″ gives two rows of windows.
Does the roof change?
No. The roof depends on the width, depth, pitch and overhang, not the wall height.
How tall can the walls go?
Up to 10 inches. A gable wall taller than about 9 inches prints in parts that you tape together on the dashed line.
Print at "Actual size" on Letter paper and measure the 1-inch bar on each sheet before you cut. Pieces are plain walls and roof panels: cut doors and windows by hand.
