Gingerbread village template
A village is several houses in different sizes. These three, 5 × 6, 4 × 4 and 3 × 4 inches, take about 4 lb of dough together at 1/4 inch. Tap each house to see and print its template.

Side walls are two dough thicknesses shorter than the depth, so they fit between the front and back.

The three houses
| House | Walls and roof | Peak | Dough | Sheets |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Large, 5 × 6 | 4″ walls, 45° | 6 1/2″ | 2 lb (940 g) | 4 |
| Middle, 4 × 4 | 3″ walls, 50° | 5 3/8″ | 1 1/4 lb (540 g) | 3 |
| Small, 3 × 4 | 2 1/2″ walls, 45° | 4″ | 13 oz (360 g) | 2 |
Together: 1,840 g, about 4 lb of dough rolled 1/4″ thick, on 9 sheets. Varied heights and roof pitches make a row of houses look like a street rather than copies.
Questions
How do I print all three?
Tap a house, press Print the template, then tap the next house and print again. Each printout is headed with its size.
Can I add more houses?
Yes. Type any size from 3 to 16 inches and add its dough to the total.
Can I use the same dough batch for all?
Weigh your batch: about 4 lb covers all three at 1/4″, trimmings included.
Print at "Actual size" on Letter paper and measure the 1-inch bar on each sheet before you cut. Pieces are plain walls and roof panels: cut doors and windows by hand.
